Beechbrook Capital welcomes three industry experts to its Advisory Board

19th December 2016 – Beechbrook Capital, the UK-based alternative finance provider, is delighted to welcome the three industry experts Jon Penfold, Lucy Armstrong and Tim Farazmand to its Advisory Board. These appointments will further strenghten Beechbrook Capital’s corporate governance.

Jon Penfold joined the Beechbrook Capital Advisory Board in 2016 and sits on the UK SME Investment Committee. Jon has more than 30 years’ experience in the financial sector having worked at Ernst and Young, Charterhouse, 3i and the Royal Bank of Scotland where he was MD of a mezzanine/equity fund. Since leaving RBS he has worked at Big Society Capital and more recently has raised funds to create a new social investment financial institution.

Lucy Armstrong joined the Beechbrook Capital Advisory Board in 2016 and sits on the Risk Committee. As Chief Executive of The Alchemists, she has vast experience of working with high growth mid-corporate businesses to accelerate growth. She is also Chair of the Advisory Group of the Enterprise Research Centre, the independent Professional Standards Council, and Non-Executive Director of a number of SMEs. She has previously been Chair of Capital for Enterprise and the CBI’s national Small Business Forum.

Tim Farazmand joined the Beechbrook Capital Advisory Board in 2016 and sits on the Valuations Committee. Tim has over 30 years’ experience in private equity with 3i plc, Royal Bank Private Equity and latterly LDC where he was an MD. At the start of 2016 he embarked upon a portfolio career and is working with a number of businesses. He sits on the BVCA Council and was Chair of the BVCA in 2014/15.
