Investment Fuels Buy-and-Build Strategy in Marketing Sector
Beechbrook Capital has made its first investment from its fourth UK SME Credit fund in Brand Revolution, a full-service, South West-based global marketing agency with a strategic growth vision. | ![]() |
Known for its expertise in branded merchandise, creative design, and media / event management, Brand Revolution works with an impressive range of clients, from innovative SMEs to global blue-chip giants such as Dell, Booking.com and Barclays.
The initial funding has enabled the acquisition of Brilliant, a Leeds based social media agency, marking the first step in a targeted growth strategy aimed at consolidating the fragmented marketing services landscape. With this acquisition, Brand Revolution is expanding its capabilities and laying the foundations for future growth.
Strong Exits and Returns
At a time when many fund managers are facing headwinds in realising assets and returning capital, Beechbrook has successfully exited the loan facilities of three portfolio companies, returning substantial capital to investors, whilst retaining exposure to equity upside in two of the three.
Across a variety of sectors: e-commerce; medical-cosmetic skin treatments; and pensions advisory services; each of the businesses delivered exceptional performance over the life of the firm’s investments, highlighting the strength and scalability of Beechbrook’s portfolio companies.
These exits not only demonstrate Beechbrook’s disciplined approach to value creation in the lower mid-market but also reinforce its ability to generate liquidity in a constrained exit landscape.
Strengthening the Team
As we look to the future, we are delighted to announce two new additions to the Beechbrook team:
John Bermingham rejoins as an Associate Director in the Investment team, after two years working in the Australian private debt market. John was previously with Beechbrook for five years and brings valuable experience to the team. | ![]() |

Paul Shea, Managing Partner at Beechbrook said:
“We’re pleased to mark the launch of our fourth UK SME Credit fund with the investment in Brand Revolution, supporting a buy-and-build strategy in a high-growth sector. In parallel, our recent portfolio realisations — achieved in a challenging exit environment — highlight the strength of our investment strategy and the quality of our portfolio companies. As we continue to deploy capital and generate returns, we are also investing in our own team to ensure we’re well-positioned for the next phase of growth.”
